Lost Murmur From Vault

I don't dismantle any legendaries or exotics(except one Titan Alpha Lupi duplicate from engram), so I can't have accidentally dismantled and forgotten about Murmur. I also haven't upgraded anything with ascendant materials, and all I do with superfluous/useless legendary/exotic items is add them to my vault. My luck with anything, especially RNGs, means I barely get any to save or store anyways. And my playing time is still low considering I've just had the game for a couple months. But magically my Murmur has disappeared after I left it in the vault - left in storage to have immediate inventory space for strike list rewards and engrams. Which is pretty frustrating because I'm always careful about doing anything while the game is attempting to contact servers or is going through maintenance for this exact reason. I don't want to lose items I've put in effort for or money in the case of DLC quest reward items. So I don't really appreciate the fact that the buggy game ate an item I directly paid money for access to. I get most other players wouldn't really care, but I haven't had the chance at a proper raid yet (half-assed fireteams which never finish or commit to a full raid means I haven't even defeated Atheon and won't be attempting Crota's End for ages ) and I am very keen to hang on to the few legendaries/exotics that I manage to get at this point in my game (I've also only had it a couple months). So I don't think that Bungie can just write this off. I lost an item I LITERALLY paid money for. It is a direct reward (unconditional and not some random DLC drop reward you can get from any activity once you purchase and activate the DLC) for finishing Eris' quest and I have no way of getting it back for this character. And starting a new character and leveling to 20+ and going through Eris' quest-lines again just to replace a lost item due to bugginess is not a fair solution. I would like a replacement. And since this doesn't fall under these scenarios: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/12211 I think it's only fair and appropriate I receive my gun back.

  • Same thing happened to me, and I'm going to tell you what others told me: it's gone. Bungie is very stubborn about not returning items that the game self-deletes. I started a second character and leveled it up simply to get another Murmur. It stinks. Sorry this happened.
