A week away affected me more than I could have ever thought it would. Without these wonderful discussions and explorations into the lore it felt as if a part of me was missing. Now I'm here to not only pose my theory, as shown above, but also discuss about what you think [b]caused the collapse.[/b] The important cards to refer to are: [b]Ghost Fragment Mysteries Ghost Fragment Old Russia Ghost Fragment Darkness Ghost Fragment Traveler Ghost Fragment Traveler 3[/b] [url=http://destiny-grimoire.info/]For all those without the cards[/url] I'll lead with my conclusion, and then refer to the grimoire to back up my theory. It's quite simple, the Traveler(who from this point will be referred to by her name: Alpha Lupi, Lupi for short) came to us looking for refugee from the Darkness that pursue after her.[b]1[/b] She wasn't strong enough to defeat it, which is why she gave us a golden age, so it was our responsibility to do so. This quickly failed, whether it was underestimated strength or inability to rise to the fight, and Rasputin stepped in. He caused the collapse by setting off a nuclear payload in the reef, the blast of which transformed humans trying to escape into the awoken as well as acted like an emp, and just plain destructive force, across the inner (and probably outer)planets. This was enough to repel the Darkness, and gave Rasputin the ability to learn from it[b]2[/b]. This is why Lupi now sleeps, she protected the few of us who she could, and the blast was devastating.[b]3[/b] 1:Ghost Fragment Traveler says how when the Darkness began it's pursuit of Lupi she adopted a moon sized sphere and had to turn to the people she's helped. 2: Ghost Fragments Darkness, Old Russia, and Mysteries in that order tell of Rasputin's story in all of this. The first is recognition that the Darkness has entered our system, and more so that the annihilation of all mankind was imminent. The second tells of Rasputin's plan of sending nuclear payloads into the reef to meet the darkness. And the final shows how Rasputin is now ready for the final encounter with the Darkness. 3: Ghost Fragment Traveler 3 speaks of the devastation brought on her by the collapse. .
