It lacks a LOT!
However, I got my money's worth... 80 bucks divided by a few hundred hours of gameplay beats other games where you pay 60 bucks and have 20 hours of gameplay.
Being able to fluently change pve for pvp, having multiple things to do (weeklies, daily, bounties, two raids, a bunch of strikes, Iron Banner). Good God o_O
