I have seen an insane number of videos about oblivious police officers getting extremely trigger happy. I am, however, someone who is NOT happy. As a 17 year old, I may not have enough experience, let alone any intellectual conversations among my peers about these "police brutalities," but I've had enough of seeing these videos. Now I know, it's my decision to choose NOT to watch these videos at all, but it's definitely in my best interest to give myself an awareness check of the kind of things that COULD happen. Scrolling through my Facebook feed, I noticed a video being reposted. Curiosity takes control of me and I click on the link to watch the video. About 15 seconds in, I saw nothing wrong, yet. YET. To be honest I was gonna just back out and keep scrolling through my feed, but I felt the need to finish the video. Anyways, I continue to watch the video. *SPOILER ALERT* The officer shoots an armed man. *SPOILER END* Okay, actually let me correct that. By "armed," I meant "The officer shoots a man holding a screwdriver." AT THIS POINT, I WANNA PUNCH THE NEAREST WALL AND PROCEED TO BREAK MY KNUCKLES. Seriously, I cannot fathom the logic behind this officer. I'm not one to say this, but if I'm in that officer's shoes, I would NOT pull a gun on him. I continued to watch the video further. The man with the screwdriver has been shot multiple times and is laying on the floor, probably in EXCRUCIATING pain and shock. The officer still believes he is a threat with a mere screwdriver. The whole time, the officer keeps the gun pointed at the man. His partner tried to approach the man, but NOOOOO, the officer tells him to back off because he is still a threat. I am actually burning up as I type this due to frustration, which is why I chose to rant here. I'm sorry if this is seriously off topic, let alone myself posting on a video games forums. On the grand scheme of things, let's all just be friends. Try to limit harassment towards each other. This not only applies to other guardians we meet, but also to our real life friends and family! The last word we speak to another may be the last thing they hear! TL;DR - I saw a video of trigger happy officers, I got mad; let's spread awareness!
