There has been no proof that completed content was or is on the disc. There is no point arguing it and no point worrying about it.

  • People don't even realize that HoW content is already being added with each update we get.

  •
People don't even realize that HoW content is already being added with each update we get.
And that it's not a bad thing. I'd rather get it in chunks over time than get it day one and wait at least an hour for it to download.

  • There was a bug that somebody exploited before TDB released that revealed every story mission and the strike and raid. If that's not proof enough, you can glitch your way into a HoW area on Venus. Every bit of dlc is nothing but an update locked behind a paywall.

just because they deliver it before the release date, doesn't mean you have the right to have it for free, they could've included it on disc and that would still be the case. I don't understand why people think the act of physically having some data on a disc gives them the right to use it, cost or no, that's not how software licensing works. It still costs money to create that content, why shouldn't they charge for it? Do you go to your job and work for free?

  • And this is why it's not worth arguing because that somehow counts as "proof." Yes, the areas are locked and waiting for an update because they're not frigging finished yet. Simply having the areas mostly finished and some enemies placed is not proof that the DLC is ready to launch tomorrow. Proof will be full, working-as-intended versions of TDB and HoW that Bungie finished before Destiny's launch, and you will never find it on the disc or servers. You will find it from documents or quotes from the staff where they admit that they pulled the content before launch. Nothing like this have been revealed or leaked, so again there is no point arguing about it. It's a waste of time and all it does is make the arguing go around in circles.

  • That doesn't change the fact that the content is there, working or not.

  • So if there's content there that's clearly in an unfinished state it means Bungie is in the wrong and should give us free DLC, even tho it's far more likely that Bungie is trying to prevent large downloads on launch day. That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

  • Bungie puts parts of the DLC in with each update. If they didn't have teams working on the DLC before launch the dark below would have taken much longer to be released.

The areas might be set up as placeholders, and you can datamine that information for names and stuff. I for one am thankful that Bungie isn't releasing stuff half baked just because "it is in there as a placeholder already". I believe they don't get everything 100% as is, just imagine if they were trying to push all HoW stuff through already as well. Glitches would skyrocket. edit: I found it funny the GigaHebrew is complaining about spending money :)
