When Destiny was released I only had 2 friends who played it. One of them ran out of thier live subscription. I wanted to play so I bought him a 3 month online code and sent him the code so we could play. Maybe if it bothers you that much you could buy your friend the dark below. What are friends for?

I got my friend an Xbox one a one year subscription and destiny just so I could play it with him.

Right though, I spent over $200 buying dlc for black ops and borderlands 2 so my friends could play with me. I didn't even work a full time job and had bills to pay, money can be worked around.
