The thing is you aren't paying for the game, you are paying for license to play the game. That's how it use to work, you went out and bought the game you own that game, but they have changed it now so that when you buy a copy of a game you are only purchasing a license. They can dictate what your license gives you access for in the terms and conditions. So even if the content is on the disc it doesn't mean the license that is given to by purchasing said disc gives you license to everything on it.
Don't get me wrong, I agree that this is messed up because it never use to be this way. But you have to be conscious of this when you buy a game today. Just because it's on the disc doesn't mean we are granted access to everything on it. Its sad that this is the way things are but it's not going to change.
