Lol, I got it from a chest. You could have easily bummed that checkpoint from somebody. This whole xurning vs earning thing has really made this community almost unbearable. This generation of self entitled brats feel the need to cry over everything when they don't get their way. Thats not how the world works. Xur is here to stay. He's here to help people who have little time to play, or for people with terrible rng luck (he's in place because bungie knows how bad the loot system is). If people want to use the red death in crucible, so be it. Its no different than when the last word was sold recently and that didn't get that negative of an outburst (and that gun combod with felwinters lie is just silly) In short, who really cares? Its a game. Let others get the enjoyment of finally using that gun. That's what games are for, time wasters that let us have fun
