Great idea

Terrible idea, I don't have enough vault space for black versions of all my exotics. Unless they increase vault space, then I say rexurbish weapons to black baby!

They are going to increase the vault space but wtf would you need/want the xur black exotic if you have the og ones already? I think it's a great idea to differentiate between xur bought and "earned".

Oh, see you are looking at it as a viewpoint of elitism, I earned this so it's not just black. I'm looking at it as a collector and a person who likes variety, which Gjallarhorn do I down Crota with this week? Black or Gold? Hmm. I'm sorry you need full color guns to feel special. I have all the exotics, I wish everyone did.

Congrats on your collection. Lots of people would love to have all those. I still think it's a great idea for the fact that a lot of Destiny players (myself excluded) prefer not everyone be able to buy rare exotics and this way one could tell if they got lucky with a drop or it was purchased. It's a win win in my eyes. And then there are collectors like yourself that just want variety. Well...weapon sharers would be what I would hope for if I was you.

So you would rather everyone be lucky than good? Because you have to be good on some level to collect those strange coins you buy stuff from xur with. I bought my second and third ice breakers from xur after getting my first one from atheon. I look at Xur as a loot chest we all get to open every week, and if we were good enough to complete the heroic strikes we can buy the stuff in the loot chest. I have heard countless tales of being "one coin short" of buying a weapon, way back at the beginning, I had 16 strange coins, and there was a Gjallarhorn in the chest. But I couldn't get it out of the chest because I wasn't prepared. I wasn't invested enough to have three characters and complete 6 weekly heroics. Well I am now, and I can tell you, having the guns is way more fun than hunting for them. So use those hard earned coins and buy yourself some hard earned exotics. Ignore the people are got lucky and think that somehow that is better. Is going negative 21 in crucible a better way to get a Gjallarhorn than running 6 weekly heroics? Not in my opinion.

Ok, so here is my question to you. Since more vault space is coming, do you still think its a bad idea if xur sold xur black weapons? I said it's win win because people like you and I could rock a black or blue Thunderlord depending on our mood (kinda cool) while the people that get all butt hurt if it's xur bought would be able to tell bought "earned".
