What do u think that the Sangheili burnblade, mentioned in the novel [i]Halo: Broken Circle[/i], looks like? My guess, from my understanding of it's description, is that it's basically Halo's version of the Gundam Sandrock's heat shotels from the anime Gundam Wing and the Endless Waltz OVA and movie.

No, I mean it looks like an energy sword, but instead of the blade being made of plasma, it's made of metal.

This is what I'm talking about. The heat shotels basically have a heating mechanism that makes the blade burn red hot to slice through armor.
