There's no such thing as earning a weapon. Maybe getting enough vanguard marks to buy a vanguard weapon can be considered earning , but RNG has nothing to do with getting a weapon you've wanted. There are people (not me) that have been playing since day one and don't have a gally. Have they not "earned" it? Someone grinding and finally getting a weapon they have wanted holds no argument to someone who came in on the crota checkpoint and got an exotic. Don't act like you haven't bought a wanted weapon from Xur then go back and call people scrubs because you think you are entitled to your egotistical beliefs. "Mine,Mine,Mine , it's all mine and I don't want anyone to have because I work SO hard playing video games, whaaa! I hope everyone buys red death and we all have more fun in the raids. That's what I care about . Not whining. You are not earning anything , you just believe you are entitled to more. You are either lucky or unlucky. I am happy for people that are lucky with RNG. Maybe they haven't played as long as you, but I bet in the real world, there are players with family, financial, and emotional stress. Those people deserve the red death more than someone who lives in grandmas basement and has the ability to play Hrs everyday. People who work 80 hrs week have more of a right to get good RNG drops then some some player who thinks they are entitled to better gear just because they have the option of doing nothing more than play destiny for hours. Maybe you are a temper tantrum scrub. It's just game. Be happy for people who finally get access to something they want. We all know you got some exotic drop after joining at the end of nightfall or doing a couple rounds of PVP. Pot calling the kettle back. Just my option. I'm sure you are a good player and good person, but it drives me crazy when something thinks they earn or work harder then others. It's a lottery. Earning my @@@.

Playing since beta never had the drop till Tuesday if I had not got it in a drop from a normal gorgon chest. Which is random I would've bought it. I think buying is more of earning than a gorgon chest.

I guess that would include ProfessorBroman who plays Destiny for a living, and was a featured player recognized by Bungie. If you don't know, he bought his first ever Red Death from Xur today. Oh yeah, I think he has 6, level 32's because he plays on multiple systems.

Yeah, definitely dismantle your RNG "earned" Red Death asap. You RNG "earned" it fair & square & all of us who have never gotten that RNG lucky drop from numerous raids should be ashamed of ourselves for buying this weapon. In fact, I'm so ashamed that I'm going to dismantle the one I just bought & go buy another one with my extra strange coins out of guilt. If you were a real stud, you'd dismantle every single weapon that Xur has sold that you RNG "earned". Now excuse me, I'm headed back to Xur to stock up on another Red Death before I go "git gud"...

From these threads, I now know how to earn stuff. I need to tell my work to pay me in raffle tickets. That way if RNG awards me a new car I know I earned it instead of those other scrubs who saved their paycheck each month to buy the car.

5 RepliesI legit earned my red death 2 damn days ago after beating CROTA n finally got it. Then 2 days later. EVERYONE HAS IT! Like thank you! Destiny! We need more shyt. Everything content/gear/weapons. I'm tired of everyone having n getting the same weapons/gear.
