Don't give up and dismantle something because someone says something else is better. Their idea of good may be different than yours. My advice hold on to it, use it max it out, and keep playing with it until you come across what is "better" then get that maxed and play with it and compare it to the old one and make a decision forbyourself.

This ^^^ Not bragging here but this will add some context. I have had a Hawkmoon for a very long time. Damn fine Hand Cannon. I have Thorn and Last Word as well. I have 2 Timur's Lash. I recently got the Crucible Hand Cannon TFPKY 1969 (something like that). I am ranking that one up. It is fun to use. I had gotten a Venation after that, but did not have room for it and ended up breaking it down. I used to have a 300 version which I was happy with for a long time. I just got a Devil You Don't with explosive round perk. I am toying with that one to see if it has any redeeming value. My point, even though I have some which are considered "The Best", I still play around with what some people would call "Lesser" weapons as they also have alot of merit. The TFPKY 1969 has a great rate of fire and range and has become a permanent fixture for my Warlock. Enjoy your Venation.

I switch between the Devil you Don't with explosive round and grenadier, and Venation III with range finder, feeding frenzy (faster reload with kill) and field scout. I wish the Devil had a mag bigger than 5 or a faster reload perk. But it's still fun. Especially since the explosive perk has greater damage against the hive.

So far the tiny mag is the only shortcoming I have found. Can't wait to unlock the explosive perk. This is a side project weapon on my Titan so I only get to it every now and then.
