What does that have to do with the species all around the world and evolution. Those species you described didn't originate from that area. Please elaborate.

Evolution is described as the ability of a species to adapt over time to their environment. Elephants in Africa are slowly adapting to poachers and are losing their trunks and therefore the tusks the poachers are after. Fish in the Hudson River have adapted to be able to survive the polluted waters. Cats dogs and other animals that were exposed to extreme radiation at the meltdown site in Russia are adapting and surviving the radiation. They're breeding radiation tolerant offspring.

Sorry but your wrong. 1. All living things change through time in order to survive in their environment. 2. Adaptation involves short-term changes to suit the habitat and environment. 3. Evolution is a long-term process wherein changes occur in the genetic level for a better functioning and survival as a race.

I'm not wrong your post demonstrates that you really don't understand evolutionary theory. But that's to be expected when you are learning it from people who have a vested interest in disproving it. They tend to misrepresent to accomplish their own aims. It's the old straw man routine. Build an argument for your opposition even though it has no actual correlation to reality just so you can tear it down. That's what you are basing your opinions on not what proponents of evolution are actually saying.

Really, because I'm a scientist. I have an A.S. In biology and am currently working towards my bachelors at UIC. All of my colleagues and I agree. Adaptation is a function of evolution. It works through the process of natural selection, and evolution is, most definitely observable, and also is applicable in many, many, fields of study, which is far more then creationism could claim. Also contrary to what you may think I am not an atheist and many of my colleagues are also not atheists so I can promise you we aren't teaching evolution because we have something against God. Now go bang rocks together or whatever it is you creationists do for fun.

Without natural selection, there is no need for adaptation without adaptation there is no evolution. Adaptation is a part of evolution. Therefore if you accept that there is adaptation you accept that there is evolution. By definition Biological evolution: simply put, is descent with modification. This definition encompasses small-scale evolution (changes in gene frequency in a population from one generation to the next) and large-scale evolution (the descent of different species from a common ancestor over many generations). So yes it encompasses even minor adaptations. You are a a moron and you have no clue what it is you are talking about. You make think you are troll but you honestly really suck at it.

Adaptations are what individual organisms have, like longer beaks, darker fur, lighter skin, better oxygen carrying capacity, etc. Evolution is the change in a population over time.

In order for the species to evolve the individuals have to adapt. Once they propagate those adaptations to their spawn the species has evolved.
