  • They wanted to sabotage the entirety of all Sangheili so that they would be too busy fighting each other to fight humanity. Remember the UNSC is only allied with Swords of Sanghelios (Arbiter's faction). Mostly all other splinter factions are against being allies with humanity.

  • Just a side note: I'd recommend watching Halo 2 Anniversary terminals about Locke talking about Vadame. Just another reason for them to sabotage Sangheili.
