Never understood why most Christians don't just say that evolution was part of 'gods plan'. I find it more spectacular than creating everything to be exactly as it was in the beginning, forever.

That's what people have done with religion all along. Like all the different sects of Christianity that's branched off. Each one picking the parts that they want, interpreting it as they want.
