Yes, but probably not how I should. Since about Xmas time I've been doing bicep curls, sit-ups and press-ups pretty much every weekday. I'm more toned now, but I don't seem to be making much progress anymore. So I looked up my body type, and I'm an ectomorph. Which means that daily exercise for mass won't work, I need to have at least one rest day in between each workout day, as well as doing an all-over 'compound' move instead of isolated bicep curls. So now I'm gonna try 3 days a week of sit-ups, press-ups and lifts (weights on the floor, bicep curls all the way to holding the weights above my head), and see what that does for me after a month or two. Apparently diet is also key to gaining mass, but I'm not sure I can be bothered with all that. I certainly don't understand or have the time or patience or energy for a dedicated regime with like multiple sets and timing and stuff.

  • Maybe. I mean, I have made good progress in my few months so far. I think I might just be impatient to see even better results.

  • I started lifting at 17 @ 135lbs. Now I'm 19 @ 175lbs around 10-12% bodyfat. Persevere and you'll see results, good job man.

  • I'm giving this week and maybe next to see what this new régime does. Probably not gonna do much, and considering how little I used to exercise, doing it daily is probably even better for me.

You should read this before you limit yourself based on your somatotype : http://shreddedbyscience.com/body-type-bs/ You should also read the stickies here to learn how to eat: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/forumdisplay.php?f=13 Nutrition plays a HUGE roll, understanding how it works is one of the best things you can do for yourself and it makes life so much easier once you've figured out what YOU need to achieve yours goals. If you're not eating right you'll just be spinning your wheels at the gym. Also, you only need to workout for about 45 minutes to an hour, which is about as long as some TV shows.
I sit at a desk all day and eat 2500+ calories a day, which includes 300+ grams of carbs, once you learn how to eat correctly gains are just a matter of time.
