GHORN TEARS AND EXOTIC COMPLAINTS
For all people complaining about Xur and exotics and blah blah, CHECK THIS:
Make 3 characters. And play the game.
Crota: with 3 dudes that's 6 chances at an exotic, not including hard mode which would add another 3..
VOG: Again, another 6 chances at an exotic and the gorgon cp is always available. Again, not counting hard but it's rare that I see exotics at aetheon.
NF: 3 chances
All other crap you do in game I'll say is like 2 chances in a week
That's 17 chances for exotic weapons and armor in a week with 3 characters not counting hard mode raids. Join a clan, schedule and get it done.

16 RepliesI was doing the math in another post somewhere, but even if you do all that, you only end up with around a 3 to 4% chance of landing that exact exotic you want each week (that would mean getting 1.5 to 2 exotics a week). That means it could still easily take you months and months and not get what you want (25 weeks to get every exotic if you got a different exotic each time, which we already know doesn't happen). That would be about 7 hours of raiding/nightfall each week and that would be if and only if you were lucky enough to find 5 other players who were good enough at the game to just roll through both VoG and CE, which is probably a lot rarer than you think. The prize at the end of the tunnel... an exotic that is only marginally better than a legendary....
