6th year Psych student here. It's generous of you to do something like this, but guys if you are genuinely experiencing what you feel may be depression or suicidal inclination, see a psychologist or a psychiatrist. They know how to help. Kind words don't go far if you aren't willing to help yourself. Depression at its core is a lack of motivation, not sadness. That's merely a byproduct.

I'm gonna agree with you on this. You can't help someone who even if they want help won't make the effort to change what is wrong.

So should i just stop replying to people? Others have already told me the same thing. I just wanted to help :(

It's really up to you. Some people may take your advice while I imagine most will eventually just throw it aside.

I just woke up when I replied back so was half out of it. If you can help someone then that's cool. I used to give advice often on yahoo answers and even helped people here and about 8 out of 10 people will just let it go in one ear and out the other. I gave up helping people. I got worries of my own I have to deal with on a day to day basis that I can't seem to fix that easy.
