What anime made you the otaku you are today?
I love anime its always been a close friend when times are rough. the anime that I started out with was trigun. it was a great anime. I wanna hear yours. :D

Mine was gundam seed. I was bored and channel surfing for awhile, I stopped surfing because I decided nothing was on and I'd just read. The channel happened to stop on ytv which was showing gundam seed. Once again proving that reading can bring u happiness. My first impression was; eh, a cartoon whatever it'll work for BG noise. Wish I could smack myself back then for calling it a cartoon.

What really started it for me was Trigun but I use to be shy about liking it in the past and I wish I was never like that before.

The first anime I saw that I was actively aware was an "anime" was Hellsing or Elfin Lied. And it was all uphill from there.

Mines a very common story. Got hooked as a young lad watching DBZ(greatest anime out there. According to nostalgia) then I watched all the other anime that were hyped up in the US like one peice, bleach, inuyasha, naruto ext. When I descovered the Internet I became an immediate fan service anime lover mainly highschool dxd. But I'll watch all kinds and enjoy them no matter the genre
