Very much! Hmm.... I'd probably put it as Dead Space > Dead Space 3 > Dead Space 2.

Edited by Lord of Admirals: 3/2/2015 2:49:03 AMThe sad thing is that the story DLC for Dead Space 3 pretty much would be an alright space to end the franchise on (I disagree though, many unanswered questions about the Markers). The first letter of each mission even spells out RIP.

Well I'm not referring to Isaac. I'm referring to the fact the Brethren Moons converged on Earth and was consuming all life from it. When Isaac and Carver show up, they're on a collision course with one of them.
