85% think that Auto's need a buff, bungie hasn't acknowledged thousands of people. I'm doing what I can to keep up this thread.
THIS IS MORE PVE GEARED THAN ANYTHING ELSE BUFF NON GUARDIAN DAMAGE

A Great Video Explaining the Negative Effects brought on by 1.1.1:
http://youtu.be/GMQ_f4NoNVc
Auto's will always be the most popular, people are familiar with them. That's how it goes.
It's not fair you ruin these weapons and make them unenjoyable just because they are popular.
Scouts will become next most popular then you'll nerf those. It's not right.
Edit: I believe pretty strongly in this, I love my Suros, Hardlight and Monte Carlo, sadly they don't live up to there names. Please bump if you agree, I want to have a shot at change (=

Over 10,000 votes requesting a buff. Lets go Bungie!
Major Edit: Appears some are too lazy to actually look at the thread showing the amount of nerf each weapon received, so I will post here, know that these are not my results but another supporter in the community.
Actual % of Nerf
Suros Regime: 14% (Impact Rating: 28)
HardLight: 6-9% dependent on first tree attachments (Impact Rating: 9)
Abyss Defiant: 6.3% (Impact Rating 8)
Monte Carlo: 6.3% (Impact Rating 8)
This is far off the "2.5%" released by Bungievision.
Edit: Greatly appreciating all the support, this is the only way to get Bungie's attention and get our Auto's back! I'd like to invite any Bungie admin/mod/ninja/Deej to pass this on to devs. Need you guys.
Edited title to sound more professional.

Please put the 2.5% back in PVE. This was the first game where i felt that an AR acted like it should and felt good to use.

Edited by Allah: 3/2/2015 5:26:56 AMI liked the update but what I don't get is why autorifles have been nerfed at all in PVE? Did the mobs complain? Was there a petition signed by all the Hive to have necrocasm nerfed because it's a racist gun bent on cannibalizing its own kind? Wake up BUNGIE is spot on! If shotguns can have one set of buffs in PVP and one for PVE then so can autorifles. Balancing for fairness in Crucible is fine but please restore autos in PVE, nobody is out of balance there. Thank.you.and.may.RNGesus.bless.you!
-
ARs are complete trash in PVE now.
-
The range drop they did is perfectly reasonable, but the base damage reduction is BS. I would have been okay with it if it were actually 2.5%, but 14% drop on low ROF on top of a range reduction is doing nothing except trading pulse rifles for auto rifles. REMOVE THE NERF FOR PVE BUNGIE
-
-
Auto rifles need better balancing. People don't want the low impact, wild recoil sprayers. It's not balancing when people just move on to different weapons because the alternative is garbage.
-
In a game that only buffs upwards, all rockets would deal gally dmg All snipers woukd have 32 impact to match bh Somewhere along the line rofs would have to be the same but dif impacts Change was needed, high change ar back vote just shows how many ppl were attached to something that outclassed everything Ars shouldnt do a scouts job for example. Take on the challenge ppl, guns being balanced been there will be cituations where your like damn glad i brought my scout, and my ar let me charge them minotaurs
-
If you're using an auto for harder content in pve you're doing it wrong
-
Edited by A77_Spartan_II: 3/2/2015 11:12:31 AMI can understand range nerf, but dmg nerf went too far. 14% nerf to Suros is a bit too much. Also I don't understand why they nerfed Monte Carlo and Hard Light that much. I've never heard anyone saying those guns are OP. And high ROF ARs have always been a joke: empty whole magazine and maybe u can barely kill something. Edit: I would love to use my Silimar's Wrath, but it's so underpowered in PvE and practically useless in PvP.
-
The rage drop off should of made it do less damage not a total % overall
-
This whole "AR's are close to mid range weapons" thing is just rediculous. Bungie's gotten outta hand with catering to the pvp crowd. They've effectively made AR's usless and have almost done the same to fusion rifles.
-
I agree that most are unfairly associating the AR's usability with being OP. AR's are generally a go to weapon in any game as well as real life. Most players will have an AR at their disposal. I personally don't think the latest changes were necessary, they already marginalised most AR's when they reduced the impact on most of them.
-
The pulse rifles needed the buff but the AR's did not need the nerf.
-
Bump its depressing how now my fav weapon type and my newly acquired harlight shoots marshmallows
-
That guy is just a whiny little -blam!-. Complains about the new drop down feature. Complains about vault space, even though Deej clearly said they are working on it. Complains about two major heavy ammo bugs being fixed. He doesn't know anything about programming and is talking junk I agree, AR's did not need another nerf, mainly the microcutters. The microcutters need a major buff or just to be eradicated from the game. AR's are way too weak now, and have been for a while. Bungie does need to separate PvP from PvE though.
-
Please bungie.
-
I don't use auto rifles anymore for this reason
-
The simple fact is that PvE and PvP are completely different environments. Balancing for PvP is far different than for PvE. Factors like engagement distance, time to kill, etc are vastly different in the two modes. In PvE the engagement distance is longer meaning that the auto rifle nerf really hurts. No longer is using Abyss Defiant in Crota viable. Since the predominate and easiest way that the Ir Yut fight is cleared relies on sitting in the Boomer towers and drawing the Wizards out. Now Scouts have even more of a dominance in endgame. The two environments need separate balancing as hand cannons still have too much range in PvP for the map size and shot guns need a further nerf so that people actually use primaries. People used to use Suros now they just shotgun you which is even worse.
-
100% of their PvE needs to be restored, and I think half or more of their PvP nerf needs to be restored. Making pulse rifles viable for PvP has greatly diversified the primary weapon selection in PvP. Yes, many still guns like Thorn, TLW, etc. but now many people are using guns like Oversoul Edict, Bad JuJu, 3 Little Words, and Red Death (Red Death was used before patch by some, but not as many as now). However, by nerfing auto rifles and the Vex (the only fusion rifle that seems to have been nerfed...) a lot of the diversity gained was again lost.

All I'm saying is this. In about 6 months time Bungie will see that players will use what ever is the strongest weapon regulars less of the type. They will see less and less people using auto rifles and will take action to see that people will use them. If Bungie had a problem with to many people using autos then it should not have given us one to start with. In my opinion pulse rifles and auto rifles should be identical one fires in burst and the other is full auto.
-
Edited by TheKumarEffect: 3/1/2015 6:54:02 AMI have barely noticed a difference. The players who are good with auto rifles are still using them and doing good. The people who suck are raging and whining on the forums because they are looking for any excuse to make up for the fact they suck. First step is always realizing you have a problem!

If they knew how to do that, there wouldn't have been a need to neuter any weapons in PVE. That way they could neuter PVP load outs only. Huge blunder not totally separating PVP..with it's own classes, leveling, armor, and weapons. What a shame.
