Hmm.. I'd have to go with the guy in the full set of armor, over the guy wearing a cape and skinny jeans.

  • Did you even bother to read the edit? Any way, Chiefs armor looks incredibly different when compared to both of them. Not even his chest piece is shaped similarly to a Titan's, nor any other part, and his helmet resembles more so that of a Hunter's.

  • I did. But looking through all of these responses, I think it's safe to say that the majority of people think he's a Titan. Not a, "Hunter in Titan armor."

Because the majority of people look no further than the armor. Which, mind you, doesn't resemble Titan armor very much. It's like comparing a Knight with a Samurai, they both have armor, but it looks very different c and both have very different skills. Now if you can accept that then I will continue, if not please stop reading and replying as you will be waisting your time and mine. Now, Chief may be strong, but did you know he was one of the fastest Spartan IIs? Not the strongest, smart when it came to combat situations and able to think on his feet. He was mainly used for infiltrating and elimination of targets, pre-covenant war. Also sent to assassinate insurrectionists, hunt them down and kill them. Chief is extremely quiet, spends much of his time alone, doesn't trust very many people, but when he does, he will do just about anything for them, he doesn't often make jokes, or even talk to people, leading them to believe he is unfriendly and a loner, what sense of humor he does have is very cynical and dry. He doesn't boast about his accomplishments, he just gets the job done as fast as possible. From a plot standpoint he is a Hunter, from a Personality standpoint, he is a Hunter. From a physical Standpoint, he is mainly a Hunter. From an armor structure standpoint he is a Titan.
You also can't see how many people liked the post so there.
• As people have said, Titans were based off of Spartans. Something that Bungie themselves confirmed. And by the way.. 1. Plot Standpoint - Not exactly sure how you'd break it all down to a Hunter specifically, since everyone does the same missions in Destiny. 2. Personality Standpoint - You can't do much from a personality point of view. The dialogue for every class in Destiny is the same, and you can't really tell who a person is just by what class they are.. 3. Physical Standpoint - I'm actually surprised you'd go that far to say that. Now what do you think Master Chief is? Thin? (Hunter). Or muscular? (Titan).

Plot Standpoint - Not exactly sure how you'd break it all down to a Hunter specifically, since everyone does the same missions in Destiny.
Everyone does the same missions in Destiny, it's true, but that's where the grimoire comes into play. Chief himself, in the books and comics, was not always able to defeat his enemies by simply running around and punching them, his attempt to kill the Didact with his knife failed quite miserably, leaving him to have to outsmart the Didact.
2. Personality Standpoint - You can't do much from a personality point of view. The dialogue for every class in Destiny is the same, and you can't really tell who a person is just by what class they are..
You can however read the grimoire cards, in which each class is given a different set of personalities. To make another point about that, Titans and Hunters all have preset personalities, the people who choose them can be complete idiots, or whiners or douche bags, now does it make sense for them to be revived by the ghost? think about it. You said that Titans were based off of Spartans, what you didn't know was that Master Chiefs personality was based off of Clint Eastwood(or at least the characters he played), this came from Steve Downes, and Bungie, also coming from Bungie was how Hunters were based off of Clint Eastwood, as well.
3. Physical Standpoint - I'm actually surprised you'd go that far to say that. Now what do you think Master Chief is? Thin? (Hunter). Or muscular? (Titan).
Watch the Halo 4 end cutscene when chief takes off his armor. But other than that, he was one of the fastest spartan IIs, but not nearly the strongest. He wasn't nearly the tallest of the Spartans, and if you watch the end cutscene you'll know his far more slender than you'd think.

  • Alright. Well I still don't agree with your assumption, but I know you're going to keep insisting that you're correct. I've dealt with people like you before, (the people who "can't be wrong"), so I think that's enough. I see Chief as a Titan, you see him as a Hunter. So be it.

  • Meh, I can deal with your unfounded labelling of me. Though the hypocrisy in your statement is strong.

  • Hypocrisy? I can admit to being incorrect. But I've been with Halo since the very beginning of it all, and I will not agree with, "Master Chief being more like a Hunter." It's simply not correct in my eyes, but I'm sure it's vice-versa for you. So, are you going to be a big boy and leave it at, "we all have different opinions"? Or are you going to continue to insist that your opinion is a, "fact"?

  • I wasn't insisting that I was correct when pointing out your hypocrisy, merely putting into question your rather poorly timed use of calling me "someone who thinks he can never be wrong", while taking everything I say and discarding it because it goes against what you think. This is a matter of opinion, so you being correct is entirely up to you, but don't ever think that because I can give a valid argument that you can't validly refute, that I will not change my stance on the matter if proven otherwise. I've countered your points, I've raised others, it was you who simply neglected to use the information given to you, out of your own stubbornness and unwillingness to actually acknowledge that I might have a valid point. Whatever the case, I would surely hope you do not get angry, as was not my intent.

  • I read your points, I just never took the time to counter them. From reading your other arguments with people for this same topic, I can tell where this will go if I do counter them. So, as I've said, I'd rather cut this off now then to waste time pointlessly arguing. The Chief is a Hunter in your eyes, and he's a Titan in mine. Those are both opinions, so leave it at that. Goodbye.
