What do u think of Thel's new arbiter armor from Halo Escalation and H2: Anniversary's prologue and epilogue cutscenes? Do u think that it was made out of artistic license or did Thel personally request it (in relation to the existing canon)?

It was personally requested by him. It takes elements from the Arbiter's armor and a Kaidon's armor in order to establish his role and position in his society.

Ok. That's cool. I'm also under the impression that his armor has cues to what the Arbiter rank stood for before the old covenant order where it was revered to almost a warrior-king status.
