1) why a wall of text? 2) it doesnt devalue exotics at all, sure people get lucky and get there gear from Rng, but alot of players like a few of my friends dont have the time between work and life to grind that out every week So if it wasnt for Xur helping them when he can, when they would try to do a raid or something end game, people would shut them down because they didnt have the gear/ weapons to do it. Also why does it matter? If Xur sells my Gjhorn id be happy, then players would have to worry about being kicked because they have HoC not Gjhorn, also when you go into crota there would be a 90% that your entire party would have Gjhorns making it so even the inexerpeinced players can have an important role.

I have a helluva lot more time played than you. I've "earned" more than you. And guess what? I hope everyone gets great exotics. It doesn't "devalue" my gear at all. Shut up and play the -blam!-ing game. I'm sick of all you entitled kids bitching about the stupidest shit. Have you nothing better to do? So you had an exotic you thought was rare. Good for you. Want a cookie? I own EVERY exotic in the game and I am MORE than happy if everyone gets the good shit. You should be happy that your fellow guardians get good gear, not bitching about it and crying like your 12 years old. Then again, you probably are.

I don't understand what value exotics have beyond perks and stats. There is no trade system so there is no intrinsic value to these items.

1 ReplyAll those months of grinding. Nightfall after nightfall, VOG, Crota and getting very few exotic drops. You are nuts if you think that when I buy it from Xur it's not EARNED. I'm so sick of these posts. I have Bad luck when it comes to RNG. My 2 buddies bought the game around New Years day and they have more exotics than I do and I've been here since beta. I still don't have.....Gally, Fatebringer, Hawkmoon, Vex and the list goes on and on. I'm happy for people when they get a good drop or are excited that Xur is finally selling something they've been waiting for. And to the OP....You've never bought anything from Xur??? I highly doubt it.

How is opening a chest in an empty cave earning it more than running a weekly stirke? Gorgon Chest can be had without running VoG at all. People are giving away the CP. Does this also mean that if Xur sells Ghorn, you're not going to buy it from him? You know, because you want to earn your gun. I'm missing just Pocket Infinity and SGA. Some of my guns were bought from Xur, some of them weren't. I earned ALL of them though.

Well you sound foolish with this essay you wrote on why Xur shouldn't sell exotics I see it as fair as long as you don't cheat or hack it. EXAMPLE: go to the store and buy something like your console with your hard earned dollars you don't find a ps4 Or a one on the streets laying around.

Hard work for Exotics ? You get lucky from the RNG or you don't it's that simple. Cur the doesn't down grade Exotics. He allows the unlucky ones to have a chance to get the guns or armour they need or want.

Xur does not devalue exotics. It's the loot system itself. RNG does not factor in player skill or contribution. You can be dead last on the losing crucible team and still get an exotic, or join a nightfall team just as your teammates are dealing a killing blow and still get one. RNGesus spins a wheel and gives you a consolation prize just for showing up. Honestly, I don't experience any feeling of accomplishment and it feels more like a handout getting an exotic drop from a lucky drop than buying it from Xur
