I would say that Bungie Halo & Forward Unto Dawn/The Package Chief armors look like Titan armors. 343i's Chief armor looks more like a Hunter's.
Chief himself? He's a Spartan, he probably eats Guardians (all three classes) for breakfast & passes them by brunch.

Yeah, he probably lifts Titans at the gym, and throws Warlocks like basketballs, while simultaneously bragging about how superior his invisibility is to a Hunters.
