He wears heavy armor that can take a beating, has a bubble shield, and likes to punch stuff in the face......Titan confirmed

He doesn't have a bubble shield, only Halo 3, Hunters also wear armor, your point? MC had invisibility in every Halo game. He doesn't like Punching things, he prefers shooting them, if he was a Titan his melee would have done more against the flood in CE. He ha a knife but you know what, I'm just gonna leave it where it lays.

It's called a cloak, and if you've seen the original Hunter concept art you'd know they were going to have cloaks too. We still may someday... Any way, a Hunter can be useful in just about every situation, though depending on the player entirely. Titans can be useless believe it or not. Extremely useless.
