The problem that is that in today's society we are rescuing kids too quickly. This has caused these kids to not the develop the same life skills they did 30 years ago because these white knights are swooping in too early. We are removing the need for them to navigate the hardships themselves. Today, it is a simple game but tomorrow he may be president or hold some other important role in society. What will he do then? They start believing that nothing has real consequences and that someone will rescue them. That is not how the real world works. We are disabling kids by picking them up before they even hit the ground. He would have gotten over the disappointments of failure but he will never get over being spoiled by others. Keep treating people like him as fragile and he will grow up to be fragile.
