New Weapon Types

Hello, reader! Lately, people have been saying there will be two or three new weapon classes to be added onto Destiny. I thought it might be cool to bring up the idea of SMGs (Sub-machine guns) and Bolt-Action Sniper Rifles (While they're still technically sniper rifles, I think they could have their own class called "Bolt Action" or something, and could fall into the primary weapons category). Please think about including these weapons in a future update, or even a DLC! If you have any ideas, thoughts or comments, please share! -With respect, OP_Russians

  • they already have SMG's, will be more close to the real thing after next update anyway, currently they are called Auto Rifles. And ALMOST all of them use 9mm ammunition and have ridiculous rates of Fire (represented by ROF and IMPACT), and soon with the range nerf my do Gooder will be worthless. Bungie if your Auto Rifle has maxxed (or near) ROF and Minimal Impact it is an SMG, NOT an Auto/ Assault Rifle (Which in the real world use 5.56/ .223/ and 7.62 ammunition and have Good Penetration Values, which would relate to a Mid-ish Impact or more but typically lower ROF to allow the soldier to use the weapon effectively). SMG's on the other hand tend to have a higher Rate of Fire but use a smaller ammo (usually 9 or 10mm Hand gun rounds.) this allows Higher cycle rate but negligable recoil, and Penetration, as well as a lower range. (in Game this would translate to Higher Stability, Maxxed or near ROF but and impact of 5 which would keep the weapon balanced with a decent reload speed, and close to short range, and a higher Magazine capacity.) Auto Rifles (Assault Rifle Equivalent) should have max ammo of 35, Medium Range, Decent Impact (though still lower than Scout Rifle and Hand Cannon, or even the Pulse Rifle). the Reason i say max ammo of 35 is that an Auto Rifle should have LESS ammo in the mag than an SMG or LMG, other than that leave the Auto Rifles alone. Pulse Rifles (essentially Assault Rifle's Carbine version), should have 30-ish rounds per mag max, Slightly better impact and range than Auto Rifles (to compensate for lower ROF), and good Stability. Just my 2 Cents on the subject.
