ASMR

I was doing some research on this and thought it was creepily interesting. Unfortunately I don't think I have ever had a physical reaction to a sound/whisper/tapping /brushing Do any of you experience this? Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a neologism for a perceptual phenomenon characterized as a distinct, pleasurable tingling sensation in the head, scalp, back, or peripheral regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, or cognitive stimuli. The nature and classification of the ASMR phenomenon is controversial,[1] with strong anecdotal evidence to support the phenomenon but little or no scientific explanation or verified data.[2]

  • Yes. I listen to it most nights when I can. Feels amazing and sends me right to sleep. I find I need a mixture or visual/ sound triggers to experience it. Rarely I'll find someone who has a voice or accent that triggers me. Recently I've taken a liking to Cosmic Tingles. Love her voice and she does exactly what I look for. Gentle Whispering has an awesome accent that sets me off like crazy, but I think my favourite is still Heather Feather. She puts a lot of effort into her videos and usually has funny little references too. Her aperture science one was so good.
