If you solo a strike it actually gives the boss more health. Having even an afk is better than solo.

Edited by Barbatos: 2/20/2015 5:19:57 PMMany players solo it for the challenge it may provide, the chance to complete it in a length of time they prefer, or even to try out different weapons and abilities. Forced matchmaking takes these away.

That's a good point, well points. I'm not against to the option just saying why I don't care either way
-
I prefer optional myself. I'm going to give it a shot and see how it works out. I'm leaving if I catch someone afking.

No... That's silly. Did you even read Bungie's update way back when? 1) BASE difficulty increased (aka harder solo in the first place) 2) For every player in the team it gets slightly harder (MORE hp) 3) If you consider the difficulty increase, it is easier if you actually have 3 people shooting, if not it has simply gotten harder.

They said they didn't want people to feel having a full team made it more difficult andv that they understood how it made it more difficult for solo players. That's how it sounds to me

It still increased per player, but if all 3 of you are actually shooting it doesn't feel like it's increasing. A player's gun > difficulty increase But an AFK player makes it harder for the others.
