The very first time I played that mission, I did the Renegade option.
Why.

A video game has never made me feel that dirty.

I felt like a despicable person after doing that. I was trying to get both the Krogan and Salarians in my alliance. Instead, I was forced to watch one of the most heart-wrenching scenes to ever exist in a video game.
