Facade of the Hezen Lords
The helm's nerve interface incorporates Vex cells. They're dead, of course. But not too dead to dream...
Prime Zealot Helm
Forged form the cores of Hezen Vex. If you feel a sense of revelation, remove immediately and inject antientheogens.
Seems to be the Vault helms are part Vex, and have some memory of what they once were and may f with your head.

There have been theories that the vex is capable of actually fully consuming the user, hence Kabr's disappearance instead of death.
-
That would make sense on the last sentence of the "Relic: The Aegis" grimoire card.
Now it is done. If I speak again, I am not Kabr.
-
Yeah! I think that and the armor descriptions are why Kabr being consumed is the most accepted theory on what happened.

I'm not an expert on the lore, or any of the grimoire at all, but... If Kabr and his fireteam crafted their armour out of Vex carcasses, and it was left behind for us to find in the Vault. He also molded the relic out of a Vex carcass, and it's been left for us to find also. So this could imply that the Vault looked/acted entirely different when Kabr's team went in. Especially if they had to forge the relic to bring down the Templars impenetrable shield, which we are able to just pickup and use. Now, as I understand it, the Gorgon's are able to see us, transmit info to Aetheon, and have us wiped out of the timestream that exists in the Vault. I think the Oracles and the templar somehow work the same way. What if Kabr's fireteam, after having their light drawn out of them/forced out to form the relic, have been trapped in the Vault and converted into the Gorgons. They're able to manipulate the Vault so we still have access to the relic to bring down the Templar and Atheon, and he wipes us out of existence if he sees us because maybe it'll invoke a feeling, and he can't let Aetheon know he has feelings (since the Vex are a hive mind and all).

When dealing with the Vex consider any and ALL things possible. They are a previously unknown form of life and they can freely mess with time.
