For me I took a 2 week break from all raids and Nightfalls and I almost didn't come back, but then my wife and I decided that we would stay home on a Friday. We decided to run the nightfall and a buddy that we played with joined our game instantly and was excited to see we were on. We then remembered that to us the game was not about the activities or rewards or the battle with RNG, it was the friends we made along the way that were more important then anything Atheon or Crota could give us. We have been Xbox live members since 2002 and We still have communication with friends We made playing Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six 3. So for us the game always comes second to the friends, but the game must be fundamentally fun. Destiny is amazing and while individually RNG may screw us over its fun to see some one you love and care about be blessed with that shinny new piece of gear that always seems to drop their way. For me and my friends it fun to laugh at getting shards for clutching the kill on Atheon when my wife who got stuck behind on Venus because she missed the cleanse gets a GHorn. If you take this game to serious you might just forget to have fun along the way. Yes this game may get stale but don't be afraid to make some friends and help out newer players. Be the player that messages the the level 27 the day before to carry him through the nightfall back and help out you never know when RNGesus may smile upon you. Have fun guardians.
