Justify cheesing crota.
If you cheese crota, here are my assumptions of you.
1. It's too hard for you.
2. You're lazy.
3. You have never learned to do it the right way.
4. You think there's no problem with it.
5. You think it's cool.
6. You think it's bungie's fault.
7. You did it once and think bungie owes you a level 32 character.
8. "I don't have time" when you've played 700+ hours.
When the hard raid comes out and you're walking around clueless, I will laugh in your face and boot anyone who asks how to kill crota legit.
Edit: seems like everyone claims they can't find 5 other people. Not a valid reason. My friend did it solo and I did it with only one other person in 3 minutes. So try something else.
Edit 2: So, it comes down to this. People either agree with me or they hate me because they can't do it legit. I love these people! Haha.

2 RepliesThere is no justifying cheesing Crota. Templar, Atheon(back when not many people had Gjallahorn), Bridge, you can say that you can do it legit but you do it this way to save time. You can't apply that excuse to Crota because in the time it takes to cheese him once, you could be finishing up your third Crota kill.

You may have "earned" an item after completing the raid in its entirety ten times, yet another could have it after a single cheese. Rewards aren't performance based, you simply have to complete an activity for a reward. For this reason it doesn't feel rewarding to complete it legitimately if you have already done it once or twice. The "rewards" (or "hand-outs") keep you coming back to the raid, and if you can get them in five minutes rather than an hour that's usually enough for people to take the cheese route. Simply, because of the current loot system, legitimately completing the activity not only doesn't feel rewarding; but even a waste of time when it has no effect on rewards.

4 RepliesI do him legit once a week. On my other two characters I just do whatever the team I'm with wants to do. If it's cheesing, we do it. If it's legit, I do that too. My justification is I did it correctly once, after that I'm not particular.

I dont have very many friends as I am on last gen and my friends upgraded but I am not as financially stable as they are. I have [i]tried[/i] cheesing Crota but the people I find on IFG have the skill of a retarted girrafe. Now that I have the Dont Touch Me gauntlets, I only cheese the second part sometimes. I usually do it legit but its damn hard on a 28 Hunter. This is the only way I see cheesing acceptable. I already know all the raid mechanics and what to do so don't say "Good luck in hard mode scrub lol".

1 ReplyDude, I agree with you on most points. But take into mind how curry or the community is. No one wants to do it legit, or very few. I have solo'd it, two manned, three manned and so on. I now only cheese with one friend, because I think it's funny to see a god powerless.

I like to beat Crota's End legit. But normally after 10 wipes (at any part) with my team of rando noobs they all start saying "can't we just cheese this?" Or "my friend can help us cheese this if you want". So in the effort to avoid a brain aneurysm; I give in. Next thing you know we beat the bridge or Crota and they get their rewards.... .... Then comes "was that it?", "what a jip", "that was unfulfilling". Dude you cheated, it feels bad because it is bad.
