2 RepliesSo my buds have taken to writing backstory for their characters and even some clan story seeing there's a huge disparity of story and lore in Destiny. Many of their stories are entertaining and well thought out, however, this is all I could come up with. Guardian: He had a name, of that he was most certain, but he could not recall it now. Nor anything from his past to be honest. It had been four months since his Ghost had pumped life giving light into his dry, sun bleached bones. Still, he couldn't remember anything from his past, the so called Golden Age. He had hoped that he would find answers in this strange city. Perhaps the Speaker would enlighten him, or maybe the Traveler. When he garnered no answers there, he had his Ghost delve into the annals collected from the Archive, but with no luck. As time passed, he slowly realized that he would get no answers from this place they called the Tower. Maybe it was his Destiny to never know the true, full story. He knew he would have to seek outside sources to build the picture from the bits and pieces he gathered, if ever, he could gather them. He soon discovered that asking around resulted in the same answers. As if everyone he encountered was preprogrammed with a limited number of default answers. "Who am I?" was inevitably met with "A Guardian sir." It mattered not who he asked. His Ghost, whom he observed several Guardians refer to as Dinklebot, was of little help and just as repetitive as those in the Tower. Trips to the Moon, Mars, Venus, and even the Reef shed no light on his past, very little on his present, and only "what-ifs" on his future. He was willing to pay the price, the full price even, if it would only reveal his origin, the story, what had happened, and why. He had no choice though, to keep seeking his answers meant he had to continue his fight, even though he had little hope of ever finding the answers. The proverbial "run around." So fight he does, all he does, the grind goes on. Perhaps... Perhaps that is his name.
