I would pay real money for exotics
I work a lot, not much time to play destiny. I'd easily pay $10 for an exotic. Think of the time it takes to "earn" one. Time is money.
Bungie, please add a real money market place, my PayPal account is ready and waiting.

Yeah, man... that would just ruin the game/ i understand your sentiment, but then the game would be unfair to those who don't wanna spend money. In fact, it wouldn't be a GAME at all. It would basically be pay to feel OP , what's the point of that? Save your money buy a nice car, or take ur gf out somewhere fancy. that's worth it, give food to the less fortunate. Feeling OP in a game by spending money.... seems kinda lame.

I definitely have no qualm spending a little extra on a game, but that is a very slippery slope. When you put in one microtransaction many more follow and before you know it the poor kid down the street whose parents were barely able to get him Destiny for his duct taped 360 on h8s birthday five months after launch will never be able to fully realize the potential of the game because he simply can't afford it. Thats why I am cool with DLC. 20 bucks every three or four months is nothing, even that kid could do it.

Sell you my account that's only gauntlets away from 30, have 9 exotics, and tons of legendary. Secondary and Third characters are 26 and 27. Actually, I put in a lot of work. Think I will keep it.
