Should Arc Blade also have a shield?
I don't know about you guys, but arc blade is one of the more underpowered supers. Sure it's fine if you are in close quarters and other players can't escape, by most of the time this isn't the case. Players can easily jump back and shoot you. That's why I think activating arc blade should also give you a shield that triples your defense. This will actually make Arc Blade an effective super instead of a joke.

1 ReplyNah, I disagree. I think it's fairly powered. In Beta I fell in love with Golden Gun, but as soon as I hit level 15 I found my new true love, Arc Blade. I had to practice with it and learn when to use it and how to be smart while in Arc Blade. It's super strong as far as offense. No one can deny that. It reks super hard, but you have to know how to efficiently dash towards people and use your right trigger skill (whatever it is) to proficiency. Having a 3x defense shield would make it too op. It already has a good shield, but making a near invincible super with 1 hit kill and super speed is just...agh...wayyyy to op. speed and lethality, and a decent shield, but you have to be smart.

It already gives you a double shield, why do you need a triple. That would give a super designed around close range offense a massive defensive boost higher than any other class gets from their super.

1 Replyactually even though it doesn't show it during arc blade hunters take half or less damage this I can see as it has taken me 3 instakill shotgun shots to kill and two direct interceptor shots

3 RepliesYES!!! I love my hunter but I am confounded by her as well. For a character that is supposed to be long range with very little armor, WHY IS HER SPECIAL A CQB ABILITY?? An extra awesome temporary shield would be the perfect solution to that.

I'm enjoying fusion rifles too much at the moment to get around to an arc blade build, maybe when they get nerfed arc blade will still be underpowered (wink wink) for me to try and master.

If Arc hunters get a shield, than Sunsingers should beable to self res untill the cooldown is over.

All Arc Blade needs is the ability to attack up and down. Flailing around like a retard because someone keeps bunny-hoping or using blink looks stupid from all perspectives. I don't even care if this is a troll post :P

Finally someone gets it I think arc blade should be made to last longer also so you can clear out a zone than chase them back to spawn so you can get triple digit kills. Itd only be fair.
