I would always love the feeling of facing an insanely strong boss for the chance of getting something great for killing it, the mystery of what it might drop was addicting, it DROVE me to keep trying it, keep fighting it and keep killing it until I got something that could ONLY be obtained from that boss. So, when I first started Destiny, I somehow assumed, it would be similar, That is: the bosses would have better or unique drops compared to the rest of the mobs. This doesn't seem to be the case in destiny, which is kind of.. Odd? Why would low level enemies have the same drop table as higher leveled ones? It's not nearly as fun that way for me, I mean, what's the point of taking 20 minutes or so to kill a strong 'boss' when you can take 2 seconds to one shot a lower level and have the same drops?(if it is the same, keep in mind I'm just assuming based off of my experiences) So here I am, just curious about who else feels like the Bosses should have better drop chances OR even a unique drop table only for them. If they are worried about people farming 'low level bosses' for better drops, there's literally a shit-load of things they can do to counter it, they could do a level check, some type of formula to adjust the drop rates depending on the level difference right? Say, if a boss is ~5 levels below you, your chances to get drops from it aren't as good. OR simply make the gear they drop depend on THEIR level, and not yours. What would be the benefits of this? For one, I would definitely be more inclined to repeat strikes, and missions, rather than having to deal with the horrible RNG post strike, I would be in it for the boss drops!

          • I vote other. RNG is a completely outdated,unimaginative, and boring system. This game has strayed far from it's concept days. Bungie took the easy way out. It's really no wonder so many lauded veteran employees left the studio.

          • Absolutely. Bosses should drop equipment. Not ammo boxes. That is why they are Bosses.

          • Bosses, Named, public events and anything over the norm should. Even if it is just shards. Something that will help level once you have done everything else in the week.

          • Another point to is who cares if people farm lower level bosses/enemies for awesome loot? The game isn't competitive anyway so to make the game more fun bungie should have left how the game is played up to the individual players discretion.

          • They don't even have to be better then the gear that's in the same tier. A legendary Sniper with a cool name and unique design based on the race of the boss you killed to get it that had the same stats as my current legendary sniper would be great! Just so I can say "I killed *insert boss* and got this amazing looking weapon!" Every boss should have their own unique drop table with gear that looks different from any other gear in the game. I would happily farm strikes if there was a chance of getting stuff like that. Yeah it'd take work, but that's what happens when you charge $60 for a title Bungie!
