Why do Warlocks hate Hunters?
So, I'm playing Destiny as a Warlock and I noticed that some of my gear had very 'anti-hunter' descriptions. One said something along the lines of Hunters not being able to shoot straight and other said Warlocks will never 'cede their position' to the Hunters. Anyone know why there's bad blood between the two, or if there's tension between all the classes, or did I just pick a class that happens to be really pissy?
EDIT: So there is some tension between each of the classes. The shit talk mainly goes on between the Warlocks and Huntards. The Huntards and Titans also have a few jabs at each other. Titans and Warlocks seem to get along.

Pretty sure all three classes have flavour text in their items that put one class against another in some way. It's rivalry.

Warlocks: orthodox, follow orders and do things by the book. Hunters: complete more then just the task at hand. Bend the rules for themselves or others gain. Titans: Knights of the future.

6 RepliesWarlocks are the very formal, unscathed city folk that practice wielding the travelers light in safety. Hunters are the ragged, experience hardened survivors of the wild that learned how to fight by being hunted down until they themselves can rise as the predators. Hunters probably think that Warlocks take their safety for granted and have never really struggled for survival. That may be why they have a slight prejudice.

We Hunters are efficient and deadly, taking pride in our finesse- you, Warlocks, are flashy and overcomplicated, and I've the audacity to brag about your misguided concept of intelligence. Plenty if reason to be common rivals- although our common enemy is a greater threat than our pride.

Warlocks have a disciplined, orderly air about them, whereas Hunters carry a roguish, chaotic demeanor required to prosper on the frontier. In short, Gandalf vs. Aragorn with a twinge of angst.

5 RepliesA fireteam consists of 3 guardians. One warlock, one hunter, and one titan. The hunter says to the warlock, "Well look at you! You finally changed those bedtime robes for once!" The warlock was furious and replied in anger, "Says the one who hasn't done so in a month!" The two go on to argue while the titan has a really bad poker face. He was looking at the giant spider tank that had its cannon aimed at them. The whole fireteam was blown up and consumed by the darkness. The end :-)

8 RepliesI got one that says 'when a hunter accuses you of disrupting their aim answer thusly: it was imperfect and I could not abide it' I think bungie is trying to create rivalries between the classes give us warlocks a reason to one up that Hunter. Though I haven't seen anything against titans on my equipment.

Because they can't compare to titans. Lol, but seriously, if you look at your teammates on pvp, most are half warlocks or half hunters. Both of them seem to be the main classes people are rolling with in the beta, so there probably is going to be a rivalry when game comes out as to which is better. It could also be a running joke at bungie for the two to have a rivalry
