My first time with sushi...
...and I couldn't understand the lady so I kept saying "yes" until she told me a price.
Now I'm eating a "Philedolphin Roll" (can't spell philadelphia), a "Sunrise Roll", and a "Sexy Girl Roll" and I have no idea which is which.
Any tips or recommendations for things to try next time? Do you like Sushi? What's your favorite type?

Try a plain one. I would suggest going to a sushi train or with someone else the first time.

1 ReplyGodzilla roll is my new favorite. Which is spicy. Spicy sushi rolls in general are my favorites. The fried sushi roll are good too if you don't like them raw.

Spicy tuna or salmon rolls are always good. So are spider rolls. As long as it doesn't have wasabi, it's usually pretty good.

13 RepliesAw, I want sushi now. Every sushi joint has their own rolls. My favorite is called a Tiger's Eye that they serve up at a place called Ichiban. It has salmon and cream cheese in it.

I have tried sushi on multiple occasions and I just can't bring myself to like it. Meanwhile, I have recently discovered the wonders of Cajun catfish.

Where's Recon when you need him? He loves this stuff. If they have fresh octopus go for it. Fair warning, it's a bit rubbery and might be a bit strange for your first time.

1 ReplyIf you want to enjoy sushi get the dish that looks the most colorful, don't try one relatively innocuous looking dish, enjoy it and then keep getting it again every time you get sushi. Aside from that don't drown it in soy sauce.
