Ideas for d-pad gestures
Bungie has shared with us that you can use the d-pad in Destiny to perform certain gestures. For example:
Up=wave
Right=point
Down=dance
Left=salute
What if we were able to choose our own gestures? What do you, the fellow guardians of the last city, think would be an awesome gesture for your guardian?
These are my suggestions for inspiration:

I think the emotes should use a system like GTA's emotes, and the D-Pad should be hotkey/shortcut buttons like Skyrim -
6 RepliesIn all honesty being a bungie game I would enjoy (not so much a gesture) but like in army of two, you could slap or punch your buddy if he screwed up. I enjoyed that alot :)

I hope there are more than just 4 emotes and that we can customize what emotes we can have on the D-pad, Lost Planet 2 had a lot of emotes that you could map to the D-pad as well as even the bumpers and triggers allowing up to 8 selected emotes (Holding the start button then the bumper or triggers activated these emotes).

Up=wave right=twerk down=jerk off left=random swinging on a wrecking ball that is attached to nothing because it would be funny to imitate miley cyrus. Also our armor would disappear so we are nude just for the duration of the emote.

Personally I think the gestures would probably go something like Up: Wave Left: No Right: Yes Down: Excited Or some variation that would allow for non-verbal responses for those without a mic. But this is assuming that there won't be a Defiance (don't bash me for mentioning the Pre-Destiny Failure) style drop down emote menu that would let you preform a wider range of them.

1 ReplyIt's not a gesture but hear me out.I think that for specific bosses, their should be team kill animations where when it's health is critical you and a friend both press a specific d-pad and depending on what race, class, weapon, etc. the finisher would be different every time

The gesture system should be similar to the gesture system in Lost Planet 2. You can customize which gestures you have slotted, that way it adds a bit more uniqueness to everyone.
