Physical or Digital? How will you purchase your games?
With next gen consoles having digital copies available on the day of the release and having to install the game on the hard drive either way, witch method will you opt for?
Do you think pre-order bonuses will still be prevalent and how will they affect your purchases?
I like the idea of still having the cases from the physical purchase, although with a digital purchase you don't have to pick it up or wait for the mail to arrive.

Well after the recent reverse in policy, I'll be sticking with disc based games I guess.
"Downloaded titles cannot be shared or resold. Also, similar to today, playing disc based games will require that the disc be in the tray. "

As much as I love physical, I'm now starting to get into digital stupid steam -.-

I'm thinking about going digital. I don't sell games anyway and I won't ever have to worry about losing or scratching discs. Plus, you can bring your box over to a friend's house and immediately have your entire gaming library, no more "Oh, you want to play that? Well I didn't bring it..."

Physical mostly. I just don't like the idea of purchasing digital copies of games as I like having the disc and case.

Edited by Anjin: 8/6/2013 1:44:33 AMI will have a majority of physical games, but pretty much only because I have them reserved already and also want to avoid ridicule from a couple of my "if you download it, you don't actually own it" friends. I will probably purchase games after BF4 in digital form because I get something like 70 megs when my house isn't being used for Netflix in every room (which it usually is). Also it's a matter of convenience for me. Digital downloads are usually faster than going to GameStop, which is a few miles away. If I want preorder bonuses from GS, or a special edition or something, I'll go for physical anyways.

I've never bought a used game, and deleting vs. reselling won't affect me a bit. I'm going Digital!

I prefer physical cuz I have slower than dirt Internet an downloading a few gigs can take more hours than I want it too

Physical. I like to be able to see my games, and to be able to do what I please with them. I only have like 4 digital games for my 360 (Minecraft, TWD, Fable III, ME1).

I'll preorder [i]big[/i] games that I'm getting Limited Edition for (Like Destiny and Halo) so I get the physical copy, and digitally buy games that ill play occasionally (like watch-dogs and the crew)

Digital copies on PC because most PC games connect to steam anyway so might as well download it instead of using a disk as a voucher for download. Physical for disk unless it's an old game like burnout takedown.

Physical. I'm a bit of a collector. If I fall in love with a game, I want the disc and the case to keep. Also my Internet is shitty so digital games take days to download.

I plan on buying my favorite games digitally so that I can have them anywhere, anytime. As for game that I'd like for friends to be able to borrow, I'll get those on disc.

While I will always prefer physical, I like the convenience of digital games. I have no problem making digital purchases provided that the price is good (ie I would never purchase a digital game for $60).
