Depending on where you are, life guards are not aloud to save you.

My friend had to save some kids from getting pulled out from the current today because of the absence of the lifeguard. The lifeguard later showed up when the kids were brought to shore, but we later found out that the lifeguard will lose his job if he goes out to save someone. You know why? Because if the lifeguard swims out and drowns, the family can easily sue the company (LifeGuards ltd, what?) because the lifeguard was outside their "designated area", and it would be the companies fault for letting them go out to far. So lifeguards are there to blow their whistle, but you better hope that someone else can save you

  • Good, they won't have to save me because I like to keep my feet on the ground.

  • Why would they be loud while saving people? I mean, they should be getting their butts in the water!

Jesus Christ I've never understood these kind of law suits. My loved one died and your tired to save him so give me money because that will somehow make up for him.No amount of money could ever replace someone I care about.

  • If said lifeguard is outside of the designated area, then so is the child that is being drowned. So that means he is not in the companies liability. Loophole anyone?
