Help me with PC build

I'm planning for building a PC, I went to a friend of a friend for a little orientation but instead of helping, Mostly boasted about a $5000+ PC he made just for playing Battlefield 3 and Call of Duty. He did however help enough for me to make this list. I need help with what ever mistake I am probably making, things I should downgrade or upgrade and things I'm missing other than the case. I know I'm missing a case on the list but recommendations are welcome. Other than work and web, I'll mostly be using it for Skyrim, Minecraft, TF2 and Halo PC on a HDTV. Not even sure if the videocard I picked has HDMI port. Also in case I wanna change something as I buy or take time, What is the best order to buy each part? All I think I know is power supply is best for last and cases are better bought locally. I meant to ask for help here but can't find that here.

  • Ironside Computers I found a potentially good PC Desktop for around $700.00. High end specs, but not a fancy covering or any personal decals. I also have a spare monitor that my friend gave for free and some speakers that are pretty good. The $5,000+ is probably from accessories, which I could live without or I already own.

    • For under $1000, you could easily bump it up to an i5 and a 650ti

Well, here's my first for you, aiming around the price you set, using your build as a starting point Linky Threw in a case too
