Matchmaking restriction advice on help.bungie.net questions

Hi, I recently received a matchmaking restriction in-game for poor connectivity. My ISP gives me wireless extender pods that work as powerline adapters. I received a response from Bungie with advice on what to try to improve to prevent this from happening again and was reading the linked help article and have some questions for anyone that has experienced this/network issues in the past. The help article says
Modem Signal Level: Modems require a signal that’s not too high or too low in order to function properly and each type of modem has a different optimal signal range. If the signal from a player's Internet Service Provider falls outside this range, they may experience disconnects or other performance problems that seem to occur randomly, due to small amounts of unreadable data.
So I did contact my Canadian ISP and they said they didn't detect any signal issues, packet loss, or high latency. I do not play through a VPN either. So my question is to anyone that's had these kinds of issues, how did you resolve them? And if so, did you use a third-party router or is that not the way to go to fix this short of running an ethernet cord through my entire house from the basement? I'm currently going through Gambit withdrawal and just want to get back to playing but don't want to be restricted again so any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks Guardians!
