This is the worst IB ever
...for traditions sake...
...but also because these guys can't balance a thing... I have no reason to play if I can't survive...
...regular control which is not great is better balanced than these IB games..

Iron banner is just a slightly better version of control. And tweaking some weapons is not going to make d2 pvp fun. This is the result of 9 years of bad map design based off an ever changing game. The weapons are relatively fine, the way they can be utilized on all the bad maps is not.

5 RepliesI disagree with it being the "worst ever". We've had some terrible pvp seasons. My main issue with this season is either enemies take next to no damage after 5 shots, then magically die 2 seconds later, or they are flying through walls. Otherwise it's been pretty good when it works.

2 RepliesI have mostly been playing Fortress as a solo this week for IB. Only a handful of games were extremely unbalanced. More games than normal even went to time... quite a few finished within 15-20 points. I have not played Control IB, since I generally prefer Fortress to Control IB. In Fortress, the OBJ is what counts... so I try to setup for the central zone, so when it drops, we can hold it for the time it is available. It is weighted more than the other zones and can flip a match quickly. This is where a strong solo effort can kind of help more than standard control to sway the game... if you can build the super in the time to get the center zone, then farm the enemy while the center zone is available and take the load off the teammates to hold it, it goes a long way.

9 RepliesI've played 19, won 10, lost 9 ... working as designed 😏 I reckon about two thirds of those matches have been close, the other third mercies. Mostly having fun, not been swearing too much, but the weekend is coming so that may change 😁

I've only played on Tuesday and my average k/d is around 1.9. I also only played Fortress, because it's Open Skill. Most of my matches my chance to win was less then 50% and I still did pretty good. But to tell you the truth: i'm afraid to play again, because the chance to get 0.5 k/d matches is too big 🤣🤣🤣 P.S. I'm playing CoD MW4 right now.

It’s been pretty good for me this time around. Getting focused drops, using off meta weapons again. Feels like more matches our team is stomping instead of being stomped. The only thing missing is getting those nice messages about how trash I am 🤷🏻♂️
