Anyone want help an old guy get Rufus Fury?
I’ve wanted this weapon for months but it’s hard for me to find a group or anyone to help me learn the mechanics or how to farm it. Tried numerous times on console to get a group together but to no avail. I’m an older guy who mostly plays strikes and some crucible but I really want to learn some raids so I can grab new gear.

2 RepliesSure. Gonna send you a DM. Our clan is actively looking to add more Guardians. Root is a fun Raid and rather EZ to run. I need to farm Nez for the Conditional Catalyst anyhow, so the more Guardians that want to run it the better!

7 RepliesWhen the raid is in rotation the best way to farm for it is by doing the first encounter on master with challenge. If you have already earned the Rufus ar it will be best to do it this way, keep a checkpoint for the first encounter on master. Do the encounter with the challenge, the challenge is to kill tormentor with the light buff, only those with the buff kills it. After completing the encounter with the challenge you will get a adept version of any weapon of the raid weapons. This is imo the best and easiest way to farm for a good Rufus adept, as well as the other raid weapons. If you have a good runner you can weaken the first tormentor to low health, at the start of the next segment have the whole team group up to get light buff and kill tormentor. Rinse and repeat this process till the last segment of the encounter, at the final segment do the same thing but get ready to kill an extra tormentor just in case. If the raid is in rotation and you host a fire team finder post be sure to strategize with everyone and let em know you want to farm the first encounter, keep your post up so swapping characters is fast and easy for everyone to rejoin the player with the checkpoint. With this method you will eventually get your Rufus and other weapons as well all adept. Hope this helps you in obtaining your god roll Rufus, enjoy Destiny 2 Guardian 🫡 🍻
