It's not my fandom but the current Harry Potter Malfoid gender bender topic is absolute cringe.

I think one of the joys of art is sharing different opinions and interpretations of it, so I tend to switch off when the conversation becomes “this is what you’re supposed to think and don’t you dare deviate”.

I mean, I've seen someone say that Mai from BlazBlue--a man who was literally turned into a woman via magic--isn't transgender, so that's a thing. There are two arguments behind it, one of which being really stupid, the other one being slightly less stupid. Argument 1: Is just because they don't like trans people, but they do like BlazBlue, so denying it is a way for them to still like the franchise in spite of it being "woke". But, like, this is also the same franchise with Amane, who is literally a crossdresser, so, no idea how they deal with that one. Argument 2: Is because it's a relatively minor part of her character. She's not a great representation of the struggle or mindset a real trans person goes through because for her it was mostly just circumstance. She got turned into a woman by accident and sorta just said "Yeah, this is fine." But also, while this argument makes a little more sense, it's also still kinda silly. Apparently someone's not allowed to be trans without it being their entire personality? Like, nah, she's still a man who is now a woman, and has decided of her own free will to remain that way.

Batman doesn't kill. That's numero uno and a prime example of hive mind ignorance. Even amongst those that claim to be fans. Relevant to today and culture war grifting. That Halo or Gears were ever examples of great character writing. Lol. The whole idea behind Master Chief originally was a generic avatar that was never supposed to take his helmet off. And just tell me the story of Halo... Same with Gears... I thought Fenix was always lame AF. Bottomline... Games are meh... the other **** is bull ****.
