Bungie,
Cheaters, regardless of platform or multiple accounts, must be permanently banned, players experience of the game is unenjoyable. The issue has persisted for too long and must be addressed before discussing or considering unvaulting Destiny 2.

They should have done hardware bans way sooner. I know with the new way cheaters were bypassing the detection it would be hard but no bloody way a cheater can buy an entirely new pc and console for every hardware ban. The banning of accounts just do not work. Its not about achievements, its about causing damage and self satisfaction

7 RepliesI play PvP everyday with a standard Xbox controller. They’re not cheating . The player base has gotten a lot better. It’s a 11 year old game. If you’re playing on a regular tv and not a 120hz monitor and above you are playing at a huge disadvantage.

1 ReplyEdited by NotCreative123: 10/17/2026 6:13:44 AMThink about how many games a single cheater can ruin in an hour If 6v6... Maybe 6 games. That's 66 players. If 3v3... Maybe 8 games. That's 40 players. PER HOUR. So if someone scrub cheater plays all day for weeks on end... That's thousands of players who have a worse time. Thats hundred of games ruined. Cheating is the absolute worst part about online gaming, and the only way to stop it is to SEVERELY punish those who engage in it. I am annoyed bc there is a well known lag switcher playing Trials for the third weekend in a row. Obviously no ban, despite the mountain of reports he is surely getting. It is frustrating (note: I have not played him this particular weekend, but my friends have - always funny watching those game clips tho)

3 RepliesI think the only way to permanently ban the people making alternate accounts is by IP banning the Player or Device Banning them. Which I don’t think they do. If you see a cheater, truthfully, I’d just leave the game. I’m generally against quitting but if you’re being paired with or against a cheater then just find another lobby so you can actually enjoy the game.

1 ReplyYou gotta love how this works: Someone cheats? Nothing happens to them no matter what they do or how many reports you file. Cuss out a cheater, leave a game early or tell the devs their names? INSTANT PUNISHMENT.

Can't beat'em, join'em
Kidding. Don't do that. That'd suck for everyone else. And if we all did that, it'd be our luck that we'd be the ones to get caught and banned, and they'd just continue on.
5 RepliesSooo... what are they doing? Cheating with what? About what?

Bungie has been working on it. They rarely announce ban waves, though.

Bungie has been banning cheaters. Did you not hear about the large ban wave they just recently issued?!
