When launching the game from Steam, there is severe to moderate stuttering/lagging during gameplay. This has been ongoing since the MoT update.

I had a lot of issues with D2 through Steam in EoF and when MoT launched. I switched to the Windows Store version due to it, and it helped, but I could not see some players on my friends list (mostly Xbox players for some reason). There is a D2 Steam Fix on Git Hub (just search for it and you will easily find it). It disables the overlay on the backend as it launches the game, and you have to compile a small script on your system and add it to the laucher script in steam. Takes about 15m if you follow the instructions and need to download the compiler. After doing the fix, it plays the same as the Windows Store version, without the huge frame drops and constant stutter that I was having before the fix which led me away from Steam.

yep I have seen this and this is how I dealt with it: #1 > check your windows update... force it if you can and then pause for as long as possible (work with chatgpt if you have issues like I did) #2 > go to steam and clear your download cache #3 > optimize settings.. look at a D2 youtuber vid to turn off as much as is not needed #4..of course check vid driver, disk space, RAM can see performance in game with ctrl alt delete.. just to see some processes..etc ...its helped but I still get issues and I suspect its not just Sony/Bungo but also Microsoft.. restart can also help
